James D. White (Jim), Chairman and Managing Director, Regulatory and Legal Compliance, Jim joined the Anova Board in April, 2008 and has served as Chairman since 2013. Since 1997, Jim has also been the Chief Executive Officer of MedSources, Ltd., a Louisiana medical finance and management consulting company. Jim also is the Chief Operating Officer of several related business, MedGroup One, Inc. and NuMedics, Ltd., both of which manage a group of physicians and medical support staff providing Emergency Medicine and Family Practice staff to hospitals and clinics located in both Arkansas and Louisiana. In addition to his career in business, Jim holds a law degree from the University of Michigan (1976); and an advanced degree in International Trade and Finance from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (1973). Following law school, Jim worked as an Associate Attorney at Jones, Day, Reavis & Pouge (now just Jones Day) at their Los Angeles, CA office (1976-1979), where he was active in both securities and corporate law matters. Prior to law school, Jim lived in Washington, DC, and worked at the Center for Policy Analysis at the National League of Cities-U.S. Conference of Mayors, Inc.

Stanley A. Young, Director, Mergers & Acquisitions, Mr. Young is an accomplished entrepreneur and venture capitalist who over the past 40 years has founded, financed, and directed many successful companies in a variety of industries. Mr. Young’s initial business success was with Webster Industries, a manufacturer of plastic garment bags, trash bags and other ethylene film products. As CEO for 12 years, he played a major role in the company’s merger with several related businesses to form Chelsea Industries, and in Chelsea’s initial public offering in 1964. In 1969, he sold his interest in Chelsea, which at the time was a NYSE listed firm with sales in excess of $250 million. In 1996 Mr. Young was instrumental in the successful IPO of Compressent Corporation and, in early 1997, successfully brought out SEEC, Inc. through H.C. Wainwright. In 1994, he played a major role in the IPO of Andyne Computing, a developer of precision support software for end-users. In 1990, as a director of Jet Form, Inc., he helped the company secure financing and go public in 1993 at a valuation of $26 million. In 1985, Mr. Young re-structured and provided $700,000 of new capital to a small, insolvent, garment manufacturer. Nutmeg Mills Industries went on to design and manufacture a popular line of apparel with valuable licensing rights from colleges and professional sports franchises. The company went public within a year of Mr. Young’s involvement besting even Microsoft’s IPO performance that year. In 1991, Dow Jones recognized Nutmeg as the second best NYSE stock. In 1994, Nutmeg was acquired for $350 million. Also in 1985, Mr. Young invested the seed money and became a Director of Parametric Technology, a developer of CAD/CAM software. The company went public with Alex Brown in 1989 and today possesses a $2.2 billion market cap.

Arthur H. Keeney III, Art retired in July 2009 as CEO & President of ECB Bank and joined ANOVA’s Board in June 2010. Art Keeney joined the East Carolina Bank in September 1995 as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Art has worked in the banking industry since 1970 when he started his career as a Credit Analyst at the National Bank of Detroit. Progressing through increasing levels of responsibility and leadership, his career took him to Connecticut National Bank in Hartford, Connecticut and most recently to Signet Bank, Baltimore, Maryland where he was Executive Vice President in charge of the organization’s Commercial and International Banking Groups prior to joining The East Carolina Bank. Art served as Chairman of the North Carolina Bankers Association (2006-2007) and also has completed a seven-year term as the NC Senate’s appointment to the North Carolina State Banking Commission. He is also a member of the American Bankers Association (ABA). In addition, Art is Chairman of the North Carolina Aquarium Society and Vice Chairman of both the Hyde County Community Development Corporation and North Carolina's Northeast Economic Development Commission. He is also a Board member of University Health Systems (UHS) / Pitt County Memorial Hospital, the Friends of the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, Pocosin Arts, Pungo District Hospital, BCCC Foundation, the Eastern 4-H Center and the Engelhard Medical Center. He has also served two terms as President of the Engelhard Rotary Club. Art holds a MBA in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Hartford in Hartford, Connecticut.

James K. Nance, Jr., Jim and his wife June have lived in ENC for 25 years, locating in Washington, NC. He was born in Austin, Texas, 1944 and lived most of his life until 39 in Houston TX. He has been involved in the financial sector and development of commercial real estate for 40 years. He served as executive VP at 28 of the major commercial mortgage banking house in Houston from 1971-1976, (First Mortgage Company) where he founded a real estate advisory company to provide capital to firms such as Trammel Crow and Gerald Hines for large projects. He then founded his own company in 1978 to build luxury apartments and class "A" boutique office buildings. He developed approximately $200 million in assets. He leased and managed all projects, and sold the assets and management company in 1984, moving to Washington, NC. Since then he has developed various shopping centers, offices, freestanding retail, and office parks. His current partnership, Paradigm Development Group, LLC, is owned with Al Chesson, one of the most successful general contracting firms in NENC, AR Chesson, Inc. Paradigm is a vertically integrated company for construction, development, leasing and management of income properties. Jim has served as Planning Board Chair for 8 years in Washington, served for 18 years on the regional board for First Union before the merger with Wachovia, then 2 years with Wachovia regional board. He has been an investor in BSSG and Anova for over 6 years.

Robert P. Walters (Bob), founded and operated Scenic Landscaping and Maintenance Inc. a Raleigh, N.C. landscape design, build, and maintenance company from 1981- 2004. In 2007 he founded and presently operates Landcapes Designed Inc., a Raleigh, N.C. landscape design and estate management company. Bob is a partner in ENC3 Development Group LLC, founded in 2004, an eastern N.C. company that develops, builds, and leases Dollar General stores in eastern North Carolina. He is also a partner in WWNN, a North Carolina partnership founded in 2010 that participates in various real estate investments, and other investment opportunities. Bob graduated with a BS degree from North Carolina State University in 1980. He is an investor in both ANOVA and Broad Street Software Group, and has served on the BOD of ANOVA since 2011.

Ernest Knighton, graduated from Clemson University in 1967 with a BS degree in Textile Management. Ernest worked in various textile mills until joining United Piece Dye Works in 1973 as Quality Control Manager and by 1977 was promoted to Plant Manager. In 1980 with six other partners, he bought the business and became President and Chief Operating Officer. In 1998 he sold the business and retired. Ernest has been an angel investor and board member in several start-up technology companies including Privaris and Solicore and eventually as an early investor and BOD member in Anova Financial. He is presently retired and active in the investment community.

Kim B. Winslow, Anova Financial's President/CEO. Mr. Winslow has 35 years executive management, entrepreneurial, and technical experience including Chevron Geosciences, United Energy Resources, and Convest Energy Corporation. He founded and successfully merged four related companies into U.S. Environmental Group, Inc., a national engineering, and consulting firm which he served as President/CEO from 1986-1997. In 1997, he co-founded Broad Street Software Group, a software technology firm, and was President/CEO from 2002-2004. In 2003 he founded Anova Financial and has served as ANOVA's CEO since that time. During this period he has been responsible for the development of the business model, corporate governance, equity investment, software development, patent applications, hiring the management team, strategic alliances, and evolution of ANOVA into a fully operational company with a national client base. He graduated with a BS from the University of Florida in 1978.
